"I got a pair second hand (unworn)…"
I got a pair second hand (unworn) because the original owner couldn't get a size return. After wearing them for 1 winter the vibram sole has nearly worn through. With the design of the sole, and being a 2nd hand item, it will be difficult, if not impossible to find d someone to resole them. I am only out $150. Someone who paid full price for any of their shoes with a vibram sole will be dissatisfied with how long they last and how quickly the heel is particularly prone to wear. I don't know what I expected from a company that doesn't even put a shank in their boots.

"Poor customer service"
Aweful customer service - took days to respond - they have a "buy one get one free" for their socks going on and only sent me one pair - should have been a simple and straight forward case for them to send me the second pair but I have had to basically plea with them and make a case to get them to send the second pair (to which they still haven't agreed to do) and my latest sent email got an "sorry inbox full and your message has bounced" response from them... won't be purchasing from this company again.

Editted* Company responded and sent me the second pair of socks - thanks!

"Dangerious non traction tread design on icy surfaces."
My Boots have good traction walking in snow, waterpeoof, warm in -15 to -20C temperature, not warm in lower temperatures. On icy surfaces, boots are dangerous to wear!! Treads are useless to grip icey surfaces and you are guaranteed to slip and fall!!! I fell and no longer wear boot in spring when there is lots of icy walkways.. Boots should not be worn on icy surfaces!! My feet are wide and I struggled in pain wearing the new boots. It took me three months to wear fit these boots. I will not buy another pair.

"When they were actually made in canada…"
When they were actually made in canada they were amazing they were wider in the calves for those of us that arent skinny...and you heated the sole to form it to your foot they were extreamly warm not these china ones arent warm they are super tight on the calves to i cant get them up where they are supposed to be they end up being ankle boots....manitoba mukluks made a mistake when they outsourced. The quality turned from amazing to garbage...

"Made in China and Vietnam"
First I called in to ask about status tax relief and was told to email my card with order number and they would credit me back the monies. Got an email that said it was only to those on reserves. That wasn't explained in the phone call prior to my order or I wouldn't have placed the order. However, they did reimburse me the taxes. Customer service could be better for sure. Claim to be indigenous company helping indigenous.. So I was disappointed that mukluks are from Vietnam and hats are from China. Some designs are from non indigenous artists. Can't return items as all sales are final. Would never buy anything else from this company. Didn't even want to give them a one star.

"Don't spend your hard working money on these boots."
I spent over $300 for my boots. They started falling apart after 2 years. I don't wear them in the rain, in the sleet. I take very good care of my boots and I even protect them. I contact customer support and they will not help me whatsoever. How very disappointed. I will never buy a pair ever again.

"Excuses & Condescension"
In Oct.2022, I ordered a pair of Snowy Owl [$250] waterproof Mukluks, in size 10. The fit was so tight, I couldn't even wear socks. So, I asked for their free return shipping label. I didn't receive one. I waited and waited. I wrote to ask, worried that the return deadline might pass. I was informed that UPS was having 'return label issues" and that it would be a while, but "not to worry" because the return deadline had been extended thru Dec. In Dec. I wrote again, requesting a return label, and was told there was still a return label issue but that the deadline had been extended until Jan. 31. I said I really wanted to return them because I wanted my money back. I was told to "be patient". I responded it wasn't a matter of patience, the company had gotten the $ for the boots, and now it was the holidays and I could use that money. They said they understood but that it would still be a while. In early Jan. I wrote to ask again about the "free return" shipping label & was told it had been sent to me *4* times already [what?!?], but they would try to send it a-gain. Since I had never received one, that was a surprise. Like it was a chore, they said they would send it to me. I responded that I expected better & was given a lecture by the Customer Service person on my WRONG use of the word "Native". Since I am a Native woman, I was pretty offended. I was sent the label. I returned the boots in early Jan. by UPS. But no acknowledgement by the Manitoba of the return and NO REFUND. Two hundred & fifty US dollars may not be a lot of money to them, but it is to me, on top of being offended by the condescending lecture on how I am supposed to identify.

"Disappointing. Never again."
I first bought a pair of manitobahs back in 2008 and loved them: I decided to ask for the tipis this year for Christmas and see that they’re made in Vietnam…when did that happen? The first pair I ordered didn’t fit so I paid $14 in shipping fees to buy & return them… I reordered in a different size, another $7, and the fur arrived damaged! Very disappointing. It is spotty and shows a cheap white underlay. I didn’t feel like paying ANOTHER $7 dollars (totalling $24 at this point) to return them again…so I decided to cut my losses and keep them as is. I took a photo and emailed the company. No reply…it’s been 3 weeks… puts a bad taste in my mouth all around. I will no longer support this company.

"The company markets itself as if the…"
The company markets itself as if the boots/ footwear is made in Canada. When I received my boots, I saw that they were made in Vietnam…so I returned them. It also took them way too long to issue my refund. It’s like Tim Hortons ( owned by Brazilian company ) by deceivingly markets itself as Canadian. It’s fine if you want to have a “ethical “ factory in Vietnam, but be transparent… very disappointed. The customer service was not good either. Thanks for reading!

"Absolutely beautiful boots"
Absolutely beautiful boots, very well made and comfortable, and so reasonably priced that I could get a few pairs, instead of just one.
I highly recommend!!! And will be purchasing more.

"Manitobah has excellent footwear"
Manitobah has warm, comfortable, and beautiful boots and shoes. I am grateful for them and am asked regularly where I got the beautiful boots. These are not meant to be cheap knock offs, but support indigenous folks.
